Lately, as you know, the issue has grown, exceeding my mind's capacity to hold it. The initial strategy of avoiding and suppressing did not help. Meditation gives some temporary relief. That, along with the slight decay over time and the natural adaptation to the new baseline makes it bearable.
Something that seem to work well is widening the pull to other objects. It is a guided but largely automatic process. I just have to choose to engage with it. The resemblance to the failed simulation scene is helping a lot here. It is a clear no-go and an objective metric of my previous baseline capacity. The next phase is getting near, during which I might switch over completely, emplacing the heart of the issue into this other object. I will try to guide the process towards it. It might be weird though, but I'd rather be weird there then weird here, as the resemblance object has a stable orbit. While the issue will remain, the subjective part that messes with my faculties will decrease, as I gain more capacity to differentiate between the object and the heart of the issue.
It would be a sad state of events if the resemblance to the failed simulation scene will end up surpassing the sight between the stars in caused pain. But I think at this point I am just redistributing the hurt over multiple targets.
Two days now, I saw opportunity and chose to actively guide myself towards it, and it worked. It is like the undead dog was jumping around acting up. I tried, but failed miserably to kill it not realizing that it's tethered to me. Now I know, I can move in any direction and it will move along with me. I didn't expect it to be this easy. Happy coexistence might be possible after all.
I will move my planetary core, pulling this jaded moon with me, keeping it at a fixed safe distance, inching towards different stars, getting close to each one and narrowly escaping at the last moment to wean this overly exited moon off from its tendency to be pulled to the stars with each orbit taking me down with him. Maybe this undead thing will turn to ash someday, probably not this decade. Either way, I will be in control.
Goodnight, Somi
